Our Philosophy.

  Founded in the winter of 2005, Rime was built on the ideals of conserving the beauty of the natural world that provides us with endless enjoyment, while maintaining a positive mindset to make this world a more peaceful, and happier place.

  With each piece designed to keep you cozy and warm, we hope to instill a higher state of both thinking and comfort into your everyday winter activities. Whether you shred on one plank or two, prefer groomers, park or pow; lift access or backcountry - we strive to make each journey down the mountain a comfortable one.

  We stress original thinking and equality through each knit, with aim to create a community of morally and environmentally conscious individuals that care about each other as well as the snow covered domain in which we thrive.

  Too often, people value their own success over anything else and often cause harm to others as well as our environment in the process. So contrary to popular economic theory, we prefer to focus on maximizing happiness over profits. Why? Because no one can put a price on happiness...and there's no business to be done on a dead planet.

Our Practice.

  As a means of promoting individuality, knits are offered in limited quantities of unlimited styles to ensure an ever evolving supply of truly unique caps, headbands, shirts, etc.

  Each Rime carries a unique, hip-hop inspired rhyme on the tag that either encourages creativity, promotes positive moral values or solidifies the universal love for winter and our world. These rhymes vary per knit style, so that while no two caps are identical, they each carry a meaningful and honest message.

  Lets be honest - there's nothing like shredding tit deep pow through the trees! That's why for every knit we sell we plant a tree, helping to rebuild our forests and to fight global climate change. Not only that, but we're also a certified carbon-free business. By offsetting our emissions and planting a tree for every hat, we're sort of 'breaking even, + 1' in terms of our carbon footprint and effect on our planet. It's important to protect our earth so that we can assure that epic snow will continue to fall year after year.

  We also encourage individual action to take steps towards creating a balance between our world and the natural one. In order to maximize the longevity of the activities we love for generations to come, reduce your consumption, reuse what you can and recycle the rest! Turn off the faucet, turn off the light!
